Week 71: A Week of Stuff

Hello everyone! This week has been a busy one. This weekend especially. We had stake conference which was fun. It's always a good time when the whole zone is together. Then last night there was a Why I Believe fireside in Lacey, where a couple of recent converts share their testimony. At the Why I Believe there was a bunch of members from the Yelm Ward there which was super cool. I got to talk to a bunch of them and catch up. It had been a year since I had been there. I was impressed that they remembered me! It was a really neat thing to see them again. Hopefully, I will run into more in the future.

Anyways,
That's all for this week.

Week 70: South Hill

Hello everyone! This week has been a good one. I got transferred! I am now over in Puyallup, in the South Hill Stake. The ward boundaries here are all pretty small, so almost all of the elders in the zone are on bike. The only ones that are not are the zone leaders who have a mini van so they can chauffeur us all around. I'm living with 4 missionaries in an apartment again which is fun. It keeps things exciting. The area here is good. It is a lot hilly-er than Olympia, but not too bad. There are a lot of people we are teaching too. We have had a lesson every day that I've been here. My new companion is cool too. He has only been out a couple of months, but he is doing really good. It's fun. Anyways, that's all for this week. Till next time.

Week 69: Transfer calls!

Nathan called today! He is still looked and sounded happy. He said he got "pulled over" while walking their bikes tracting one evening because an old (grumpy) man had called the cops on them for knocking on his door late at night. He said as soon as the cops came up behind them he instantly knew it was because of the man because he had yelled at them. The cops were very nice and they all got a little laugh because this had happened at 5:20 pm, not exactly late. I guess the daylight savings change really threw him off! Here is his email for the week:

Hello everyone! This week was a good one! We had a good visit with a couple people this week, helping them progress in the gospel. We also helped a new family move into the ward. They should be a good addition to the ward. We got our transfer calls this week too! I am leaving Olympia and going to the South Hill stake in Puyallup. I'm still on bike, but it should be a good place. It's smaller than where I am now. Anyways, that's all for this week. Till next time.

We sure love your son! Sad he is getting transferred this week...the people of Puyallup are lucky to get him! He has been so good to our son, Elder Skeen! Thanks for sharing him with us!

Week 68: It Didn't Rain this Week

Hello everyone! I can't believe another week has already come and gone. This week was a crazy one. Tuesday we went and visited a bunch of people, which was good. Friday we helped some people move as a zone! The move was fairly well organized, but they had a ton of stuff. They completely filled one Penske truck, and they had another one coming later. It was fun. Then on Saturday we did what is called a 9-9 where we meet up as a zone and tract in everyone's area all day, from 9 am to 9 pm. That was a lot of fun. We got a lot done in everyone's area, and we got to spend time with the whole zone. The day flew by.

Anyways,
Till next time
